Can iron supplements be taken daily and what is the daily intake?​

100 to 200 mg of elemental iron per day is recommended for the treatment of Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA) in adults. However, please consult your doctor for further advice.

Can Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500) be taken by breastfeeding women?

Yes. It supplements as breastmilk has folic acid, ascorbic acid, and B-complex vitamins. ​

When should iron tablets be taken?

Iron tablets can be taken at any time of the day, but recommended consumption is in the morning, on an empty stomach, with water or a drink containing Vitamin C for better iron absorption.​

Can Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500 & Iberet® Active) be taken by women having menstruation?

Yes.

When should I take Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500 & Iberet® Active)?​

It is recommended for anemia due to iron deficiency and an associated deficiency of Vitamin C and Vitamin B-Complex, especially in pregnancy.

Who can take Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500 & Iberet® Active)?​

Pregnant women and non-pregnant adults.​

How should I take Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500 & Iberet® Active)?

Swallow whole. Do not chew or crush the tablet.

Can I take Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500 & Iberet® Active) at night?

It can be taken at any time of the day but works best in the morning on an empty stomach. Have it with water or a drink containing Vitamin C, for better iron absorption.​

What does Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500) contain?

Each tablet contains 525 mg of ferrous sulfate (equivalent to 105 mg of elemental iron) in our unique Gradumet® controlled-release vehicle. This supplement also contains ascorbic acid and Vitamin B Complex including folic acid. ​

Can iron supplements cause nausea?​

Iron supplements can cause nausea in some consumers.

Can iron supplements cause diarrhea, constipation and/or stomach pain?​

Iron supplements can cause stomach cramps and diarrhea in some consumers. However, Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500 & Iberet® Active) has Sustained Release Gradumet® Technology that helps to eliminate gastric irritation.

Will Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500 & Iberet® Active) cause the urine to be yellow?

Bright yellow urine discoloration has been reported with riboflavin (Vitamin B2) usage.​

Is Multivitamins + Iron Iberet®-Folic 500 safe for pregnant women?

Studies have not reported any increase in the risk of fetal abnormalities if administered during pregnancy. However, Multivitamins + Iron (Iberet® -Folic 500) should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed, with advice from your doctor. ​ ​
